3-Days Desert Tour From Fes to Marrakech on the Map
Itinerary
Day1: Fes - Ifrane - Midelt - Ziz Valley - Merzouga Desert
Pick up from your hotel/Riad in Fes at 07:30 am (please note we need to get to the desert of Merzouga before the sun sets, so setting off early is highly recommended). Our first stop after driving through the fertile plain around Fes is Ifrane. This charming city is often called the Switzerland version city of Morocco to the extent it was selected the second cleanest city in the world in 2015.
Have an enjoyable time in the cedar forest with the friendly Barbary Macaques before continuing on the track to Midelt where we will have lunch. Cross the spectacular Atlas Mountains to the panoramic plam valley of Ziz where you may want to take memorable pictures. Arrive in the Merzouga desert before the sunset and go on a camel ride experience while enjoying the miraculous views of the sunset.
Get to our luxury desert camp where you will have a nice meal for dinner, then have some entertainment with the staff members as they tend to perform a musical session using drums and castanets. Have a relaxing sleep in your en-suite tent.

Day2: Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorge - Dades Valley
Early wake up in the morning, climb up the sand dunes and enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunrise. After having breakfast, we will continue on the track to the Dades Valley driving through Erfoud, which is known for the fossil factories and dates. Stretch your legs in the impressive Todra Gorge (canyon) that has been an attraction to mountain climbers an nature seekers.
We will spend our second night in a comfortable hotel/Riad in the lush valley of Dades.

Day3: Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in the Dades Valley, we will resume our journey to Marrakech driving the valley of Roses where we may include a short break to learn about their products. Cross the city of Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) with its Atlas Film Studios that has turned the region into one of the most prefered setting among film producers in the world.
Have a guided walking tour of the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou village that is comprised of numerous Kasbahs (fortresses) with four towers, small windows and doors. It has a strategic postion in the former caravan route that used to connect Marrakech with the Sahara desert and the Ati-Atlas Mountains.
We will then drive through the spectacular high-Atlas Mountains before reaching Marrakech in the evening marking the end of our 3-days Sahara desert tour from Fes to Marrakech.
