Itinerary
Day1: Marrakech - Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Dades Valley
Pick up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech at around 07:30 am by one of our experienced drivers/guides for a rewarding 04-days desert trip from Marrakech to Fes. You will head to the Dades Valley crossing the impressive high-Atlas Mountains with its snow-capped peaks offering breathtaking views for taking memorable pictures.
After crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m), you will tour around the UNESCO-listed Ait Benhaddou Village with its numerous Kasbahs (fortresses) that are a striking example of the southern architecure. After lunch, you will drive through Ouarzazate (Hollywood of Africa) with the possibility to include a visit to the local Atlas Film Studios. It’s in here Cleopatra, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven and many other films were shot.
We will continue on the track to the lush Dades through the palm oasis of Skoura and the valley of Roses.

Day2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
After having breakfast in your hotel/Riad in the Dades Valley, we will head further south to the Sahara desert of Merzouga stopping by the impressive Todra Gorges (Canyons). You will have free time to stretch your legs while enjoying the majestic views that this attraction is offering to guest-visitors.
After lunch, which will take place near Tinejdad, we will include a visit (if you wish) to a local factory of fossils in the city of Erfoud where you can learn about how the process of excavating fossils in the region and turning them into different shapes.
Upon arrival in the desert of Merzouga, the highlight of our 3-days Marrakech to Merzouga desert tour will be the camel ride experience in the golden sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. The view of the sunset is magical and once you get to the top of the dunes, you will be taken to another world.
Enjoy a nice meal for dinner, then you may want to spend sometime gazing at the stars that illuminate the horizons before spend your second night in our luxury desert camp.

Day3: Explore the Desert Area - Ziz Valley - Midelt
Early wake up in the morning as we will invite to climb the sand dune and attend the majestic view of the sunrise. After having breakfast, we will spend the first half-day exploring the desert area starting with an insight into the local “Khettaras”, which is a sophisticated system of conveying water from far distances to the oasis by digging wells and interconnect them with an underground channel.
Visit the Khamlia village where you can have a time for entertainment enjoying the spiritual Gnawa Music, which is performed by local inhabitants who were brought as slaves from Sub-Saharan lands centuries ago. Then, have a complete tour around the sand dunefield of Erg Chebbi. Have a short break by the nomad family so that you can learn about their nomadic style of life.
Later, we will head north through the palm valley of Ziz to Midelt where we will spend our third night in an authentic but comfortable hotel.

Day4: Midelt - Cedar Forest - Ifrane - Fes
After having breakfast in your Riad/hotel in Midelt, our 4-days desert trip from Marrakech to Fes will come to its end. We will drive through the lush Middle-Atlas Mountains with its UNESCO-preserved cedar forests hosting a colony of Barbary Macaques that you can approach and feed.
Stretch your legs in the charming center of Ifrane, which is often called the Switzerland version city of Morocco to the extent that it was selected as the second cleanest city in the world back in 2015. Arrive in Fez in the afternoon.
